  • What height are aluminium bifold doors?

    You can expect aluminium bifold doors to be just a bit taller than a standard internal door, usually between 2090mm and 2100mm tall, however we can supply and install doors up to a height of 3000mm! The real difference is in the width of bifold doors, which can vary depending on the number of doors you select. 

  • What colour bifolds can I have?

    Homestyle UK Windows work with a huge selection of colours with over 200 available by special order. Our standard bifold door options are black, grey and white gloss. 

  • Are bifold doors made to measure?

    Yes. Every home is different, so our bifold doors are manufactured to meet your exact requirements. In fact, we manufacture our own bifold doors from our factory in Ipswich. 

  • Can bifold doors open in or out?

    Yes. However, once your bifolds are installed, the opening direction cannot be changed. Many of our customers prefer doors to fold in because when it rains, your floors/carpet won't get wet. 

  • What glass is used?

    We offer a range of glazing options including double or triple glazing. All of our sealed units consist of Low-E coated glass on the inner pane and low iron on the outer pane. The spacer bar (the frame which holds the glass together) is made with warmedge and then filled with argon gas. This slows the heat transfer across the cavity of the sealed unit, giving extra thermal insulation. 

  • How secure are they?

    They are fitted with multi-point locking systems which create an excellent barrier against potential intruders. 

  • Do you provide a guarantee?

    Yes. We offer a 10-year warranty on all our products. 

  • Do I need planning permission?

    Usually you won’t need planning permission to replace patio or sliding doors. It is worth checking with the local council if you live in a conservation area or listed property. 

  • Can I choose a fixed door option?

    Yes. Our bifold doors can operate as a single normal door, with your choice of traffic door. 

  • Can I have blinds inside the glass of my bifold doors?

    Yes. Blinds installed between two panes of glass for homes and commercial properties are becoming very popular and come in a variety of colours. They can come with a pull-cord option or magnetic slider. They can even be motorized. We have them in our showroom in Martlesham if you would like to take a look. 

  • Can windows and doors match my bifolds?

    Absolutely! We manufacture aluminium windows and doors that can match the colour and style.
