The Door That Never Goes Out of Style

Some things earn their popularity. The sliding patio door has been letting British gardens into British kitchens for decades, and today's uPVC versions are a world away from the stiff, draughty sliders many of us grew up with. They're one of the most requested products we fit from our Martlesham base — in homes across Kesgrave, Ipswich, Woodbridge, Felixstowe and throughout Suffolk and Essex — because they deliver the most glass, and the most light, for the most sensible budget.

We install the PatioMaster sliding door system, fabricated for us in Britain by Emplas — one of the UK's largest and most respected trade fabricators. Every door glides on a stainless-steel track, locks with a Yale multipoint locking system, and arrives A-rated for energy efficiency as standard, so it keeps your home warm without you lifting a finger on maintenance. Choose from a classic inline slider or a triple-track door that stacks its panels for a wider opening — and from over 30 colours and woodgrain finishes, inside and out.

Every installation starts with a free, no-obligation survey, is protected by our 10-year guarantee, and is FENSA-certified for building regulations compliance — all fitted by our own installation team, never subcontractors.

Choose Your Configuration

Not sure which is right for your home? The simple version: the Inline slider is the classic two-track door that suits most openings; the Triple Track lets more panels slide and stack, opening up more of the wall. Our consultants will walk you through both at your survey.

Our Standard System

PatioMaster Inline Sliding

The classic sliding patio door, done properly. Two, three or four panels glide on a twin stainless-steel track, with slim chamfered frames designed for British homes — equally at home on a Kesgrave semi as a Woodbridge cottage. The stepped frame keeps plaster cutback to a minimum, so replacing an old slider is quick and tidy.

System depth70mm chamfered uPVC profile
Configurations2, 3 or 4 panels, twin track
Max frame width~3.0m (2 panel) to ~5.9m (4 panel)
Thermal performanceU-values from 1.3 (double) / 1.0 W/m²K (triple)
SecurityYale multipoint lock, steel reinforced, anti-lift
Colours30+ finishes incl. woodgrains & dual colour
In plain English: maximum glass, minimum fuss. A warm, secure, wipe-clean sliding door at the friendliest price point of any door we fit.
For Wider Openings

PatioMaster Triple Track

Love the sliding-door look but want a bigger opening? The triple-track version runs each panel on its own rail, so panels slide behind one another and stack — clearing up to two-thirds of the aperture. It's a brilliant alternative to bifolds for wide extensions, with no folding panels eating into your patio space.

System depth70mm chamfered uPVC profile
Configurations3 or 6 panels, triple track, stacking
Max frame widthUp to ~5.9m (6 panel)
Glazing28mm double or 36mm triple glazed
Sash weightUp to ~150kg per sliding sash
ThresholdLow-threshold options available
In plain English: the wide-open feel of bifolds, the simplicity of a slider — panels tuck neatly behind each other instead of folding into the garden.

Lead Times

Survey to Installation: 6–8 Weeks

Every door is manufactured to your exact opening, so from your free survey to installation day our current lead time is 6 to 8 weeks. Here's how it works: we survey and confirm final measurements, your door goes into production with Emplas, and we book your installation date — the fitting itself is usually completed within a single day, with our team leaving your home spotless. Bespoke foil colours or structural alterations can occasionally extend this, and we'll always give you an honest timeline at quotation stage.

Frequently Asked Questions

What uPVC patio door systems do you install?
We install the PatioMaster uPVC sliding patio door system, fabricated for us by Emplas — one of the UK's leading trade fabricators. PatioMaster is available as a classic inline sliding door with 2, 3 or 4 panels, or as a triple-track door where multiple panels slide and stack to open up more of your wall. Both come with Yale multipoint locking, a stainless-steel track, over 30 colours and finishes, and A-rated energy performance as standard. During your free survey we will help you choose the configuration that suits your opening and budget.
How long does installation take from order?
Our current lead time from survey to installation is 6 to 8 weeks. Every door is manufactured by Emplas to your exact opening size, so after your survey we confirm the final measurements, place the order, and book your installation date. The installation itself is usually completed within one day.
Do I need planning permission to install patio doors in Suffolk?
In most cases, replacing existing doors or windows with uPVC sliding patio doors falls under Permitted Development and does not require planning permission. If you are significantly widening the structural opening, live in a listed building, or are in a designated conservation area, consent will likely be required. Our surveyor will advise you during your free consultation.
Are uPVC sliding patio doors secure?
Yes. Every PatioMaster door we install features Yale multipoint locking, steel reinforcement, and anti-lift and anti-jacking hardware built into the frame, with enhanced PAS 24 and Secured by Design specifications available for extra peace of mind. A dedicated interlock between the sliding panels prevents them being forced apart, so a modern sliding patio door is a very secure choice for your home.
Will the door track be a trip hazard?
No. The PatioMaster system runs on a slim, recessed stainless-steel track, and low-threshold options are available where accessibility is a priority. Your surveyor will talk you through the threshold choices for your opening so you get an easy, safe step out to the garden with full weather protection.
What areas do you install uPVC patio doors in?
We are based in Martlesham and install across all surrounding areas including Kesgrave, Ipswich, Woodbridge, Felixstowe, Martlesham Heath, Rushmere St Andrew, and throughout Suffolk and Essex. If you're unsure whether we cover your area, call 01473 614 444.
Are your uPVC patio doors guaranteed?
Yes. Every installation comes with our comprehensive 10-year installation guarantee, the PatioMaster system itself carries a 10-year manufacturer's guarantee, and we are FENSA registered so your installation is certified as compliant with UK building regulations.
