At Homestyle Windows, we understand smart technology is part of everyday life — which is why we offer Kubu® Smart Security as standard to customers who buy our windows and doors*, from our Martlesham base to homes across Kesgrave, Ipswich, Woodbridge, Felixstowe and throughout Suffolk and Essex.
Kubu isn't a camera, an alarm or a gadget stuck to your frame. It's a range of fully concealed smart sensors, developed by British lock manufacturer Avantis, that sit invisibly inside your window and door locking systems and report their true status to the free Kubu app. Not just "open or shut" — Kubu senses the actual position of the lock, so it knows whether your door is genuinely locked, whether a window has been left in night-vent mode, and can even alert you if a door or window is being tampered with. And because Kubu never unlocks anything remotely, there's no new way into your home — you keep your trusted key.
The sensors are fitted by our own team on installation day, with no wiring or drilling, and every installation is protected by our 10-year guarantee and FENSA-certified for building regulations compliance.

Kubu® Smart Door Sensor
A first-of-its-kind sensor that slots seamlessly into the multi-point door lock of your new composite door — completely hidden, with nothing stuck on the frame. Because it reads the lock itself rather than the door position, it's the rare sensor that can tell you your front door in Kesgrave is properly deadlocked, not just pulled to.

Kubu® Anywhere Pro Window Sensor
Kubu's revolutionary "floating" sensor moves with your window, sensing the exact position of the handle and lock. It's the only sensor of its kind that can tell the difference between closed, locked, night-vent mode and "not quite fully locked" — and it even copes with the natural sash movement windows develop over the years, so it never needs readjusting.

The Home Hub plugs into any socket and links your sensors to your home Wi-Fi — and it doubles as a glanceable security light: a calm blue glow means everything is locked, a warm orange means something needs attention. The free app adds geofence alerts if you leave home unlocked, scheduled bedtime reminders, family sharing, and smart home integration.
